Capitol Anesthesiology Association is a medical practice that was established in 1973 by a group of physicians. The practice has over eighty physicians who are driven by the aim of providing medical attention and focus on patients in twenty health facilities in Austin. Additionally, the independent practice has more than one hundred and twenty registered anesthetists’ nurses who help the physicians to provide care to their patients.
Capitol Anesthesiology Association, together with their competent staff are determined to provide services to their clients. The services provided by the practice include:
- General anesthesia: this a type of anesthesiology used when a broad and expansive surgery is being carried and the patient therefore needs to be fully unconscious. The team is ensures that the patients remain unconscious until the procedure is complete.
- Regional anesthesia: this is type of anesthesia takes place where by one part of the body is numbed so that the patient does not feel any pain during the surgery. Here, the patient is first given sedatives which are followed by a local anesthesia. Physicians and the nurses at CAA make sure that only the regions being operated remain numb during the operation.
- Local anesthesia care: this is given for specific operations that take place on soft tissues. The area is kept numb until the procedures ends.
