Mr. Tananbaum founded Foresite Capital, an investment firm providing a range of financial services to emerging healthcare companies. Before founding Foresite, Jim had co-founded several firms that are now healthcare franchises. Immediately after completing his business studies, Jim co-founded GelTex Pharmaceuticals where he served as the CEO. Sever years later the businessman founded another company, Theravance, which produced GSK, a drug for asthmatic patients. Since 1994, Tananbaum has been involved in various ventures like co-founding HealtheonWebMD and Jazz Pharmaceuticals.
