His position as a native of India with law degrees from the United States, England and Canada, of course, lends to his perspective a global-comparative underpinning. His advice to those approaching this line of study is to always listen to the people within the country and culture you are working with (patch.com). They know what they want and know what works, which may or may not have parallels with what is found in the United States.

On the subject of the interpretation of the Constitution of the United States, Mr. Choudhry states that Americans may be facing some of the greatest challenges in this regard since World War II. He indicates that what is happening now in the United States is similar to what is happening to other constitutional democracies that are under stresses, of one sort or another, in other parts of the world.

Mr. Choudhry feels there is a strong need to bring together leading scholars and practitioners to examine case-law from around the world to effect positive changes.
