The End Citizens United is a political action committee whose establishment purpose is to fight corruption, bring democracy, the influence of money in politics and the suitable measures to control these. The movement seeks to retract the peoples’ power in America which for long has been in the hands of the high and mighty in the land. Mandated to guard this reform is a group of strong-willed and veteran Democrats operatives.
The orthodox way through which the campaign finance system operated allowed extravagance money to be circulated during American election. Voice and control were subject to the monetary bargain one would offer in exchange for political favor. Accountability and transparency shifted gear to the have which is wrong. The Supreme Court decision reaffirmed the Citizen United’s vision of restoring back confidence in the electoral system. They are funded by the grass root supporters, activists and donors to steer ahead befitting political spending.
In the vanguard of the 2018 midterm elections congress, the group in the first quarter of 2017 has already raised approximately $4 million. Though, the prime target for the year $35 million. Tiffany Muller, the Executive Director and President of the PAC, says this is a gush from 2016 which raised $25 million. The fund drive is in the quest for electoral finance reforms the Congress would like to enact moving forward.
The End Citizens United made a spectacular achievement when it invited its members to help Democrat Jon Ossof a first time aspirant in Georgia. The agenda was to raise $50000 but remarkable raised $4 million. Ossoff was hunting a Republican position to succeed Tom Price, the Health and Human Services Secretary. Additionally, the group will support Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Jon Tester of Montana in defending the Democrats Sens, although it is in the infancy stages of scrutinizing its participation in 2018.
The End Citizens United fundraising antics that have had success have moved be marked high among the best-managed associations in elections spending the elections conducted last year. The candidates or aspirants can in a controlled way spend money this is per the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizen United decision. Adam Bozzi, the End Citizen United Spokesman, recently said that they had built more ties with several campaign finance groups. This lobby group urges politicians such as the Republican Senators who benefit from the fund donated by the Betsy DeVos and the rich families. However, the press expressed concern for financial management but they guarantee transparency.
The political action committee of End Citizens United is dedicated to driving money out of politics, but it has also been raising a lot of capital of its own.
Over the course of the first three months of 2017, End Citizens United raised over four million. The group has estimated that by the midterm elections for Congres in 2018, End Citizens United will have collected well over $35 million. The predicted change is quite drastic compared to the $25 million that the group raised last year over the course of the first election cycle.
Over the first three months of 2017, approximately 100 000 people have contributed to the political group of End Citizens United. Forty thousand of these contributors donated for the first time according to the president and executive director f the political action group Tiffany Muller. She gave some additional information such as the average donation which has been about 12 dollars. The leader of End Citizens United also talked about the objective of the contributors, and that is to fight against Donald trump and his nominees. People have stated that they feel like politics is a market and those with the most money buy the most power.
One of the most recent campaigns of the political action group has been to encourage donors to direct enough contributions to the congressional campaign of Jon Ossoff. The tier for the democrat is half a million. Democrat Jon Ossof is a political candidate in Georgia for the first time. So far, he has impressed us with his raising over $4 million. The sun was collected in order to fill a seat for the republican house in Atlanta. Th seat was left vacant by Tom Price who is the Health and Human Services Secretary.
Another recent urge from the End Citizens United was to encourage groups and people to refrain from voting for Betsy DeVos to take on the role of Trump’s Education Secretay. Although the vote was a tie, Vice President pence broke that tie with his vote and tipped the scale in her and Trump’s favor.
As an investor, George Soros has a deep understanding of markets as well as human patterns of behavior. He knows how markets move and understands the political, social and cultural factors that underlie those movements. Considering that he has spent over half of his 85 years on the planet intuiting markets and human behavior, his awareness of, and his concern for, political and social movements is hardly a surprise. Combine that with his background of growing up in Nazi-occupied Hungary and it is clear that Soros is committed to backing democratic organizations that are concerned with human rights and immigration.
According to the Washington Times, Soros has contributed funding to a wide range of organizations. Some of these organizations are formal while others are self-described grass-roots organizations. During the Ferguson protest, the Times note that many activists and protesters were funded by Soros.
A close look at the Washington Times’ piece reveals that in many instances the funding was indirect. Soros contributes portions of his substantial wealth to organizations that distribute monies to smaller organizations. Some of the smaller organizations receive diluted portions of Soros financing that are combined with other donations or fundraising dollars. This is important to acknowledge because, in practice, philanthropists have little say in where their donations ultimately go. If the philanthropist does not like the outcome of their donations then they cease giving. Which is, according to Politico, exactly what Soros did after Kerry’s loss to Bush in 2004.
While activists from across the nation descended on Ferguson and while the Black Lives Matter movement gained momentum, George Soros continued giving to organizations that promote police accountability and give voice to those who are underrepresented. Ferguson was a touchstone event, one that magnified issues Soros was already attuned to and issues he hoped his generosity could help resolve. To say that Soros funded the Ferguson protests is a bit of a stretch. Soros was already deeply committed to the issues at the heart of the protests. Organizations who had long enjoyed his support, whether directly or indirectly, mobilized around the event. His contributions and the events in Ferguson were a perfect storm of factors but neither was entirely dependent on the other. Visit this site to know more at opensocietyfoundations.org.
The final assessment reveals Soros’ ability to judge human behavior and key in on world events. Whether through investing wisely in markets or investing brilliantly in the people who push forward his beliefs in equality, George Soros is capable of staying one step ahead of cultural movements and shifts. He has done so for many years, even in his later ones. Read his profile at Business Insider.

Anyone who was keen enough during the period preceding the 2016 United States Presidential election would have noticed the ongoing concern about the huge amounts of money that went into supporting various candidates. This has been the trend since 2010 thanks to the Supreme Court’s decision in the End Citizens case. More black money cartels such as the Koch Brothers and other individual and corporation billionaires have flooded the United States politics with money which is interfering with the voice of the Americans. These billionaires are leading to the election of their own people who will support their personal agendas as opposed to representing the interest of the common American.
In March 2015, a few more concerned people among them Jessica Vanden Berg, Christopher Massicotte, Lanae Erickson and Ron Barber came up with a Political Action Committee (PAC) called End Citizens United. These four form the board of directors of End Citizens United and thus work with their staff to make most of the major decisions in the organization. The aim of this PAC is to create a campaign finance reform that will control the amount of funds channeled into campaigns. The founders realized that the only way to achieve this reform is supporting House and Senate leaders who will push for it once they are elected. These are mainly Democratic candidates since most Republicans in Congress oppose the reverse of the End Citizens decision.
During the month of August, 2015, End Citizens United endorsed 11 Democratic candidates among them Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado and Sen. Russ Feingold of Wisconsin. In their support for these candidates in the 2016 elections, End Citizens United funded their television adverts, polling and direct mailers. One could wonder how an organization that had been only operation for one and a half years managed to pull this off. The organization has many grass root supporters; people who would want the US elections reformed. These supporters fund the organization. By the time of its official launch in August 2015, it had managed to raise over $2 million. It anticipated to raise up to $30 million by the 2016 election. By then the group had received about 136,000 donations.
End Citizens United also seeks to use grassroots membership to show political power on this issue. They have developed a petition that demands congress to pass reforms on the End Citizens United decision. Over 325,000 people had signed the petition during the official launch. Also, more were going to sign before the elections especially given the collaboration of End Citizens United and “Ready for Hillary”. The reforms will restore the long gone accountability, transparency and sanity surrounding money in US politics. The actions of the End Citizens United show that through unity, Americans can bring about the change that reflects their common interest and reduce influence of a few billionaires.
